In no particular order, here are our best tips on what to put in your ear this year if you’re into golf.
My Love of Golf
My Love Of Golf is an independent Australian podcast by golf business owner Ross Flannigan. Ross invites a variety of people in the industry every week to talk about their love of golf and how the game fits into their life. It started as a passion project and quickly became one of the top-ranking independent Aussie golf podcasts.
The broad guestlist comprises of sports people, business people and content creators who all share their passion and experience with the game and the backstories of their life. But the show also covers current events and tournaments, and a few betting for tips from regular co-hosts Rocket Heron and Magic Mike. This Australian podcast is for the real golf lover.
No Laying Up
This twice weekly podcast by four best friends in Ohio, U.S, provides a light-hearted conversation around all things golf, including tournament recaps, interviews, deep dive player profiles, golf travel, and more. The show has been described as a delicate balance act between the friend’s inside jokes and bits with real reporting and great interviews with some of the most insightful people in golf.
Starting up as a Twitter account with the same name, co-hosts Soly, Phil, Todd and Neil created No Laying Up – a soon rapidly-growing online golf brand with a growing audience (more than 450,000 followers and subscribers across all social media platforms) and with major partnerships brands like Callaway Golf and Charles Schwab. It is worth a listen!
Sub-Par
Airing on GOLF.com every week and hosted by former PGA Tour pro Colt Knost together with his friend and on course rival Drew Stoltz, the Sub-Par podcast pairs colourful segments with in-depth sit-down interviews with the game’s biggest personalities. According to their mass audience, the show is very much the recorded version of “two mates shooting the breeze after a round of golf,” and who wouldn’t want to be a part of that?!
The witty pair has also hosted some of the biggest names in golf since the podcast’s inception in 2020, including Spieth, Justin Thomas, Tony Romo, Tony Finau, Jason Kidd, Rickie Fowler and Charles Barkley. A highly entertaining podcast with great conversations about the latest in the sport.
The Fried Egg
The love child of the popular golf website www.thefriedegg.com and their tri-weekly newsletter, The Fried Egg podcast covers everything from tour news to golf course architecture. The growing platform deep-dives into another level of the conversation around golf that the website does not have bandwidth to facilitate.
Even though there’s a big focus on course architecture and design, the Pod also hosts conversations and stories about professional golf. It offers listener an insight into today’s golf world and feature some of the most recognisable names in the game, from tour players to golf course architects. It’s all golf, all the time. Go have a listen!
Golf / Andrew Daddo
Mega golf enthusiast, writer, presenter, APIA ambassador and now Podcaster Andrew Daddo could not get enough of golf in his life so he decided to start having conversations online – conversation about the good, the bad, the beautiful and the inevitably ugly of the game.
The pod is a celebration of the sport by people who love the sport. In his short and snappy episodes Andrew is joined by other true enthusiasts sharing their view on the sport and the industry as a whole. It’s an easy listen from a guy who has tried his hand at almost everything, but most of all want to share his love of golf.
All podcasts are available on iTunes, Spotify and all the main podcast providers.
